After attaining my degree in fashion design at the art academy in Enschede, I worked as freelance fashion designer, as teacher in dressmaking textile design and was employed as a dressmaker in the costume department of the Opera in Enschede.
Towards the end of the 1990’s, I managed to fulfill my long and cherished dream of learning how to create hats. As of 2005, I have been working from my home in Amsterdam as a milliner, under the name PSHats. My designs encompass the elements of craftsmanship, extraordinary forms, varied material choices, beautiful colour combinations and ease of wear.
